Welcome to OAHS


Our Mission

To provide a rigorous educational program that prepares students for success in college and develops the technical skills and personal qualities necessary for a successful career in aviation and business.


Our Vision

To hold high expectations for students and staff focused on our common interest in developing highly successful learners, educators, aviators and business people. We personalize the educational experience to develop character, intrinsic motivation and technical proficiency in our consistent movement toward attaining our personal best in every situation.


Now Serving 9th and 10th grades

We will enroll 65 students for each grade level 9-12. We started enrolling our first 9th grade cohort in September 2006. In 2007 we added a second 9th grade class.


Enrollment

As a California Public Charter School we do not charge tuition and we have no admission requirements. Oakland Aviation High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic class or disability.


Educational Program

Students will receive a comprehensive, rigorous college preparatory education and technical training at the College of Alameda’s award winning Aviation Maintenance Technology program. The educational program highlights an emphasis on literacy and mathematics across the curriculum, close parent partnerships and the use of multiple assessments to guide and direct instruction.
